THERE is nothing like a cocktail at home to get you in the mood.
Peta Todd former Page 3 girl and wife of Olympic cyclist Mark Cavendish, knows eating well is key to health.But she says: “We all need a bit of romance too and cocktails certainly put a smile on my face.”
Here are her favourite romantic drinks.
Sparkling Ginger Zing
This bubbly beverage is a sure-fire winner.The ginger will heat things up as it stimulates your circulatory system, giving you that warm feeling you get between the sheets and setting the mind wandering.
Plus it has bubbles – and nothing says romance more than bubbles.
YOU NEED
1 part gin
1 part ginger liqueur
1 part fresh lemon juice
Small splash of grenadine
1 cherry
Prosecco to top up
METHODAdd the gin, ginger liqueur, lemon juice and grenadine to a shaker.
Shake for 20 seconds.
Pour into a champagne flute and top up with the prosecco.
Add the cherry and get sipping.
Cupid’s Coco Kisses
Chocolate is high up on that magical list of aphrodisiacs as it contains magnesium, particularly good for a lady’s libido.It also acts as an energy booster, which is always helpful before a busy night of passion.
YOU NEED
Chocolate, melted
Cocoa powder
1 part cherry-infused vodka
1 part coconut flavour vodka
1 part dark chocolate liqueur
1 dash chocolate syrup
METHODCoat the rim of a wide glass with a small amount of melted chocolate and dust with the cocoa powder.
Place both vodkas, the chocolate liqueur and syrup in a iced shaker and shake hard for 20-30 seconds.
Pour and serve.

YOU NEED
500ml milk
3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp hot chilli powder
100ml rum
Whipped cream, optional
METHODWarm the milk on a low/medium heat in a saucepan.
Add the cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon and chilli powder.
Whisk until smooth.
Add the rum and keep heating.
Pour and serve.
Add whipped cream if you wish.
