A healthy diet is the only solution to a healthy heart
As per a recent report, around 2200 people in America are dying every day due to heart failure and its issues. The statistics were not only limited to America but for every country, the growing heart diseases are creating an awkward barrier in the development of the country. After doing a lot of research, the health scientists stated that poor diet is the main reason for maximum heart diseases, due to lack of proper supplements, the heart behaves abnormally and it ultimately leads to the failure of the Heart.
Upon this statement, the British Heart Foundation has prepared a modified healthy diet which will improve the heart conditions and will keep the heart fit and healthy for lifetime. Basically, the people just need to follow the diet and continue their normal lifestyle. Some of the healthy tips provided by various organisations like BHF, CDC, and AHA to maintain a healthy heart are:-
- Consumption of fruits and vegetables – it is recommended to choose vegetables which are deep and rich in colour like zucchini, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, dark leafy vegetables etc. Increasing the consumption of fruits will increase the flow of blood in the body, which will help the heart to pump properly.
- Avoid Saturated fats – The saturated fats are the main reason for the formation of cholesterol in the body. So it is highly recommended to avoid eating foods like pork, lamb, beef, poultry skin, cheese, butter, and other dairy products.
- Less consumption of Unsaturated fats – Unsaturated fats are high in calories they can also ruin the health. So it is better to avoid food items like oily fish, sunflower seeds, walnuts, vegetable oil, unsalted cashews, almonds and olive oil.
- Increase the intake of Fiber and protein – Fiber and protein provide plenty of nutrients to the body. These items have the capability to provide 90% of the supplements required for the body. So it is necessary to consume items like lean meats with a low fat cooking method, peas, beans, legumes, barleys, oats, rice etc.
- Avoid excessive consumption of salt and alcohol – If these items are consumed excessively, then the blood pressure will increase which can lead to various heart diseases. So it is better to stay away from these items.
